Protect your identity online with Volta Protect
Activate Volta Protect and browse discreetly with a Volta Protect IP address. Every step of your online activity will be encrypted using the next-generation security standard recommended by the NSA.
With just one click, you will:
With Volta Protect’s 5000+ servers based in 16 different countries, you have more than 5000 IP addresses you can access.
Activate Volta Protect, and you establish an encrypted connection with an online safe-space where you can browse the internet with an undercover IP that is shared by everyone else in that safe space. Your internet whereabouts will be buried in the thick of the other activity taking place on that server, hidden from view of your mobile operator, ISP, web sites and anyone trying to track you online.
With Volta Protect, you can trust that your online activity will not be monitored by anyone, not even us. No one (including us), will know when you go online, the servers, IP addresses or websites you visit, the content you download or even how much time you spend online.
DNS Leak Protection
DNS Leak Protection is not a feature that all data protection services offer, not even all VPN services offer this. Once connected, your device will only use DNS servers operated by the Volta Protect platform. This security measure will keep your traffic from exposure to mobile operators, internet service providers and hackers, who may be watching your network.
When you hide your IP address with Volta Protect, you also get:
Encrypt all your online activity with our military-grade encryption algorithms. Even if someone figures out how to intercept your activity, they won’t be able to decipher it because it will be encrypted.
Browse the internet while avoiding censorship and surveillance.
Stream online content without buffering and bandwidth throttling.
Stop being followed
Reduce the chances of browsers, websites, apps and network operators tracking you across your devices.
An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a string of numbers assigned to your device on the internet.
All devices connected to the internet, including computers, phones, tablets and more, have an IP address. When you type the name of the website you want to visit in the address bar, your device searches that IP address and takes you there. It’s impossible to browse online without it. While IP addresses are required to send and receive data online, they pose a threat to your security. IP addresses are known to be your online identification card, and can be used to identify you and track your online activity.
To assign you an IP address, internet service providers mostly use the IPv4 protocol. It contains four blocks of numbers, varying from 0 to 255, that are separated by a single dot (.). For example, 188.8.131.52.
IPv6 contains eight blocks of numbers. Each block is written as four hexadecimal digits and are separated by colons (:). For example, 2001:0db8:0000:0000:0000:ff00:0042:8429.
IPv4 will run out of unique combinations in the future, so IPv6 was created to replace it.
Along with your other personal information, your IP reveals your geographical location. That’s why you can’t watch live sports online when you are outside of your home country. Because your IP address reveals sensitive personal information, mobile operators, internet service providers and cyber criminals often use your IP for their own gain, collecting the details of the websites you visit, content you download, online transactions and payment methods, etc. Then they either sell that data to anyone willing to pay for it, or they use it for their own gain – or both.
You can change your IP address through other services, such as with a proxy server or a VPN service, but proxy servers simply scramble your IP address, while many VPN services actually track your online activity for their own purposes.
Volta Protect securely encrypts your activity while also hiding your IP address, helping ensure that your online activity remains in your control. And due to the Ignorance by Design that Volta builds into all of our technologies, even we can’t track your activity.
Volta does not collect your personal data, so we can’t sell it, the government can’t request it and hackers can’t steal it.
